Why are you offering medical weight management at a dermatology practice?

Many chronic conditions and diseases that affect the skin, treated by dermatologists, are directly related to our internal metabolic health. Conditions like psoriasis, eczema and hidradenitis suppurtiva are associated with insulin resistance. Excess body weight and insulin levels cause inflammation throughout the body and negatively impact the skin. Our skin is our largest organ and is connected to all of our body systems. We believe in preventative care not reactive health care.
